Home This is the story of a house. Not just an ordinary house but a home with memories and laughter bursting from the walls. Your grandmother may have been here or even married here. Your father may have had his prom here. The fireplace may have hosted your mother’s first date. If you were to go back through two hundred years of history, you may find that many of your family members came to the plantation at one time or another. This is a house of love, joy, some tears coupled with lots of laughter. And because of all of the memories and happiness that seep through these walls, my husband and I have once again opened the doors of Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation. It is not an ordinary place to get married or have a party. Rather it is a unique experience where your guests will truly have difficulty parting at the end of the night, and will always want to return. Unless you tour the home or come to an event here, it is difficult to explain the feeling of warmth and gratitude that the home itself exuberates for its guests. We invite you to come and visit the plantation, sit under the trees, rock on the front porch, or get warm by the parlor’s fireplace to experience history itself. When having an event at Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas you truly become part of its history as it becomes part of yours. |
